December 18, 2023 Daily Reflection – Another Average Day

Today was average. I didn’t get back home until lunchtime and was really tired, so I took a nap. It was hard for me to get started with work, but I ended up pushing myself and got 4 hours done, even though my target was 5. It wasn’t the best day, but it wasn’t a disaster either, and I’m on a roll of 4-hour days, which is good for me. I just need to build off the momentum and push a bit harder, but I’m in a good place mentally and really hopeful for 2024. I’m sure I can catch up on work over the next few days.

Week of December 11, 2023 – Weekly Reflection – Bare MInimum

This week, I’m feeling pretty good about how things went, even though I’m aware that I just managed to do the basics of what a productive week should look like. My days were filled with a solid four hours of work on client projects, but I can’t shake off the feeling that my life’s a bit off-kilter. I’m missing out on creating passive income and, let’s not forget, exercise was nowhere in my routine.

December 14, 2023 Daily Reflection – Long, Full Day

It was quite a day. Taking care of Duke in the morning can be a handful – he needs a few walks and his breakfast. I absolutely adore him, but it’s something that really shapes my morning routine. On top of that, I dedicate about 45 minutes to my Morning Pages, which pushes back my work start time to around 11 am. I’m thinking it might be wise to start my days a bit earlier.

December 13, 2023 Daily Reflection – Hustling

I was disappointed to miss yesterday’s post after a late work night and a rushed morning today due to a client meeting. Overall, things are good. It’s a financially strong month, but I’m swamped with client meetings and coordination tasks, which barely leaves room for actual work.

Excitingly, I’ve landed two new small contracts. They took a lot of time and effort, but it’s great progress.

I planned to balance client work and passive income projects, but the influx of client projects is taking precedence. It’s a juggling act with so many clients.

December 11, 2023 Daily Reflection – Slow Start to the Week

I slept at my girlfriend’s place and helped her with some errands this morning because she wasn’t feeling well. I could have returned home earlier, but I needed to visit the pet store. So, I decided to walk home with Duke, my dog, from the Mile End, which took about an hour.

This decision was partly a conscious choice and partly procrastination. However, I rationalized that one of the benefits of being self-employed is the flexibility to create my own schedule, so I might as well enjoy it sometimes.

December 8, 2023 Daily Reflection – A Hefty Dose of Humble Pie

The first part of my day went well; I accomplished what I needed to do. However, I encountered a technical issue on a website that slowed me down. I didn’t have enough time to address it and, though I had hoped to make more progress, such setbacks are part of the job.

In the latter half of the day, I volunteered to help a friend with a catering event, seeing it as an opportunity to earn a bit of money for an evening’s work.

December 6, 2023 Daily Reflection – My Journey to Success

Today was pretty good, even though I started late because I was setting up this post template.

I did 6 hours of work, but a lot of it was taken up by a long client meeting. I also spent an hour on passive income projects.

Financially, it was a great day with $1,200 coming in, making this month look good so far.

I didn’t exercise since I’m still sick, and my diet wasn’t great either. But overall, I’m really happy with how the day went.

December 5, 2023 Daily Reflection – My Journey to Success

Waking up today, I felt alright, even though it was a bit late at 9 am. Taking care of my dog and jotting down my Morning Pages meant I only really started my day around 11, kicking off with a video call. That’s way later than I’d like.

My mood stayed pretty good throughout, but I did lose some steam in the afternoon. Overall, the day was okay, but I definitely need to amp up my productivity and make a point to start my days earlier.
