Simeon’s Song of Praise (Remix)

Artwork

Did this one on February 2nd, which was the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. I didn’t find anything I could use from Caravaggio, but Rembrandt’s Simeon at the Temple, aka Simeon’s Song of Praise, intrigued me and became the starting block for this piece.

The rest follows my usual inspirations: Virgil Abloh, roses, galaxies, and Catholic symbolism. The final artwork is deeply symbolic if you can decipher it, but this was a coincidence and not overtly intended.
